🫘 Week 65: Spilled Beans!
Our April event will be OUT tomorrow!
Good morning, Cool Beans!
This weekend is Easter, which means long lunches, slow mornings, and maybe a little reminder of home for many of us. Whether you celebrate it or not, it’s one of those weekends where the city feels a bit softer and everyone seems to take things a little slower. So we’ve put together a few ideas to help you make the most of it, however you decide to spend it!

🤤 If you are craving something new: Two weekends ago we tried Txa Txa Club, and we really recommend it. They started as a supper club, and about a month ago they also opened a coffee shop, now running from 8am to 8pm (which is pretty rare in Chicago). The vibe feels very aligned with us — especially the music selection. We had the corn cake and it was delicious. We loved it so much that we decided to collaborate with them for our April event (scroll down for all the details).

🕺🏻 If your feet can’t stop (won’t stop) moving like Michael Jackson: This Friday, April 3rd, Afrobeats to the World is taking over Metro Chicago, with high-energy beats and a dance floor that stays busy all night. Click here for info and tickets!
🎤 If live music is your vibe: This Saturday April 4th Rusowsky is coming to Thalia Hall, bringing his dreamy, genre-blending sound with him. It’s one of those concerts where you don’t need to know every song to enjoy it — you just show up, let the music take over, and see where the night goes. Click here for tickets!
🛋️ If the couch (or the armchair) is calling your name: A couple of weeks ago, we went to see Sirât at the Music Box — and we went in completely blind, following Jacob Elordi's advice (and you should too!! Not linking the movie on purpose 😏). Directed by Oliver Laxe and winner of the Jury Prize at Cannes, the film follows a father and his son who travel to a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco, desperately searching for their daughter and sister who vanished months earlier at one of these endless, sleepless parties. We are still in shock two weeks later. It's a raw, relentless film and absolutely worth watching — but go in prepared. It hurts.
🎭 If you feel artsy: “In All Directions, At Once” is one of those exhibitions that invites you to slow down and really take it in. The show plays with perspective, movement, and the idea of being pulled in multiple directions at the same time — something we can probably all relate to. Closing night is April 4th. Communityyyy! Alessandra is dropping our April event tomorrow … stay tuned! 👀 Here's a little sneak peek at the flyer to hold you over. We're so excited to be hosted by TXA TXA Club, which we also featured in this week's newsletter. We tried it out, fell in love on the spot, and knew we had to bring you all there. Double the excitement doesn't even begin to cover it!
