Good morning, Cool Beans!

This past Sunday and Monday, we hosted our two-night event with Ladies Who Lit, and we absolutely loved it! Collaborating to organize these events and meeting so many incredible people is always so rewarding—it truly gives us so much in return. On another note, the weather in Chicago has been amazing, giving us an endless summer vibe, and this weekend is no exception. With that in mind, we’ve curated a list of things to do this week. Enjoy!

• 🤤 If you are craving something new: Last weekend, we visited Milli by Metric, a new coffee shop in Avondale that we were eager to try—and it did not disappoint! The space is stunning, with plenty of seating, thoughtful design touches, and custom-made furniture that create a unique atmosphere. The pastries and coffee were absolutely delicious, though it is on the pricier side. While it might not be an everyday breakfast spot, it’s definitely worth treating yourself to every now and then!

  

• 🕺🏻 If your feet can’t stop (won’t stop) moving like Michael Jackson: Our beloved CTRLZORA is taking over Podlaise for an all-night set, and we can’t wait to hit the dance floor with her! As the event and music curator behind The Cowrie, CTRLZORA is a powerhouse producer, DJ, musician, artist collective co-founder, and dance music equitist from Chicago. Her mission is to keep the electronic dance scene alive and soulful, blending house, techno, jazz, funk, world music, and more. Don’t miss it! Click here for more info.

• 🎤 If live music is your vibe: This Sunday, October 5th, legendary French duo AIR takes the stage at the Auditorium Theatre to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their iconic debut album, Moon Safari (you should listen to it if haven’t!). For the first time ever, AIR will perform the groundbreaking album in its entirety, bringing their innovative and genre-defying sound to life. Known for pushing musical boundaries and inspiring countless artists, Moon Safari remains a timeless masterpiece. • 🛋️ If the couch (or the armchair) is calling your name: Visceral Dance Chicago returns to the Museum of Contemporary Art this weekend, from October 3-5 to launch their highly anticipated SEASONTHIRTEEN. • 🎭 If you feel artsy: his Friday, October 3rd, Fulton Street Collective the annual Huge Art Show and Open House at Hubbard Street Lofts is back, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the vibrant world of Chicago’s art scene. With over 40 professional artists opening their studios and more than 300 creatives represented across the space, this event is a celebration of talent, collaboration, and innovation. We had such a great weekend! First, we enjoyed summer (yes, summer is still here!) at the beach, then we attended CamPARTi: The Official Closing Party of Negroni Week at Three Top Lounge, which, if you have not been there yet, offers one of the most beautiful views of Chicago. and… last but absolutely not least, we had an amazing time at our event in collaboration with Ladies Who Lit.

Close your eyes and you’re there—transported to France by Kaylen’s gathering of inspiring women. All Together Now’s French feast. The Present Company’s intimate warmth, adorned with Able Shoppe’s vintage treasures. French melodies floating through the air. The clink of glasses, the rise and fall of laughter, voices weaving around one name: Gabriële—mysterious, enigmatic, unforgettable. Can you see it?
