More and more events are happening in town and it’s getting harder to choose the best ones for this wonderful community! As always, we tried our best to curate a great selection for you this week, and we hope you enjoy it. Don’t forget - this weekend there is our very first Meet Up at Taste of Randolph (our favorite street festival) and we hope to see as many of you as possible!

Find the coolest picks for Chicago, this week:

• 🤤 If you are craving something new: We recently checked out Il Carciofo in the West Loop and walked away with mixed feelings. We really enjoyed the appetizers—supplì and roasted potatoes with lard—which were both flavorful and comforting. For the main course, we ordered five different pastas to share. While we appreciated the variety and creativity, not all of them hit the mark—some stood out more than others, making the pasta experience a bit uneven. That said, the atmosphere was lovely, with the classic West Loop design and vibe. They also have a charming patio with actual tablecloths—a rare and appreciated touch these days.

• 🕺🏻 If your feet can’t stop (won’t stop) moving like Michael Jackson: This Sunday, June 15th, Bonobo and DJ Seinfeld are playing a Boiler Room at Radius—a killer combo of Bonobo’s dreamy, layered sound and DJ Seinfeld’s textured, housey vibe. It’s currently sold out, but we still wanted to throw it out there in case anyone manages to snag a ticket last minute. • 🎤 If live music is your vibe: Jessie Reyez is coming to the Salt Shed this Saturday June 15th, bringing her raw energy and unmistakable voice to the stage. Known for her emotionally charged performances and unapologetically honest lyrics, she effortlessly blends R&B, pop, and soul with a fearless edge. Whether you’ve been following her since “Figures” or recently discovered her through collaborations with artists like Eminem and Sam Smith, her live shows are intense, heartfelt, and unforgettable. If you're in the city, this is definitely one to catch. And guess what’s our favorite song?

• 🛋️ If the couch is calling your name: Last Night is a quietly intense film that explores two very different kinds of cheating—one physical, one emotional. Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington play a married couple spending a night apart: she reconnects with an old flame, while he faces temptation with a colleague. The movie doesn’t rely on big twists but focuses on the subtle tension and moral complexity behind both kinds of betrayal. It raises an interesting question for the audience: which do you think is worse—physical cheating or emotional? We also loved the soundtrack, especially this song.

• 🎭 If you feel artsy: The Old Town Art Fair returns to Chicago’s historic Triangle District this weekend, celebrating its 75 year with over 230 juried artists showcasing everything from painting to photography. Alongside the art, visitors can enjoy a Garden Walk through private courtyards, live music, local food, and a charming neighborhood vibe. It’s one of the city’s most beloved summer events!
